Dr. Roland Christopher Caballar, Assistant Professor of Physics and Academic Researcher, recently took part in the National Quantum Science and Technology Roadmapping Conference and Workshop organized by the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST–PCIEERD), under the initiative of Dr. Eric Galapon and the National Institute of Physics.

Physics of Life and Stuff (PLS) is a student-driven research group based in the Department of Mathematics and Physics, College of Science, University of Santo Tomas. The group brings together undergraduate and graduate students from Applied Physics, Data Science and Analytics, and Medical Physics who share a common interest in understanding how physics underpins life, matter, and medicine. Built on curiosity, collaboration, and resilience, PLS thrives on discussion, computation, theory, and shared learning to explore meaningful scientific questions and openly share knowledge with the wider community. What we do:

  • Computational and theoretical exploration of physical systems
  • Training in scientific thinking, research methods, and communication
